Each life gets 3 random goals out of these 10. They show up under your journal after your first year, and each one pays its reward as soon as you reach it. Goals with an age limit fail if you pass that age.

- Start early on your gauges. Each gauge rises more slowly as it gets higher, so small daily efforts in childhood pay off.
- One action per gauge per year. Choose the one that gives the most for your budget.
- Money makes money. Properties can be rented out every year, and a steady career funds everything else.
- Watch for rare events. About one year in twenty brings a huge twist: a fortune, fame or a disaster.
- Write your own move. If no choice fits your plan, type what you want to do: the story adapts.
