ChatPal is made by Jeremstyke, an independent developer based in France, who is responsible for the processing of your data (the "data controller"). Contact: juryjeremy@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Your Telegram profile basics: your Telegram user ID, first name, username and language.
- Your conversations: the messages you send to ChatPal and its replies. Recent messages are kept so ChatPal can follow the conversation.
- ChatPal's memory: short notes about you that ChatPal writes from your conversations (for example your name, plans or the people you mention), so it can remember you. You can see them and delete any of them, or all of them, in the ChatPal app.
- Photos you send: they are sent to our AI provider so ChatPal can see them and reply.
- Groups and channels: if ChatPal is added to a group or channel, we store its settings (theme, language, schedule), the quiz answers, scores and the names shown on the leaderboard, and the comments ChatPal replies to.
- Usage data: how often you chat, your friendship level and how you found ChatPal (for example a link from our website or an ad).
- Purchases: what you bought with Telegram Stars and when. Payments are handled by Telegram: we never see your card or bank details.
How we use it
- To reply to you and remember what matters to you.
- To run quizzes and topics of the day in groups and channels.
- To manage your free messages, friendship level, plans and packs.
- To send you occasional messages in Telegram, such as a check-in if you have been quiet for a while. You can stop them at any time by blocking the bot.
- To measure and improve ChatPal, and to prevent abuse.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data and we don't use your conversations for advertising. We only use service providers that help run ChatPal:
- Anthropic (Claude AI), which processes your messages and photos to write ChatPal's replies, memory notes and quiz questions.
- Supabase (database) and Railway (servers), which host ChatPal.
- Telegram, which delivers messages and handles payments, under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep your account, recent conversation and memory notes while you use ChatPal. You can delete memory notes at any time in the app, and you can ask us to delete all your data.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws, you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to its processing or ask for a copy of it. Write to juryjeremy@gmail.com with your Telegram username, and we will answer within one month. You can also file a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).

ChatPal is an AI, not a person, and not a medical or mental health service. If you are in danger or in crisis, contact your local emergency services or a helpline in your country.
Children
ChatPal is intended for users aged 16 and older.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
